If you want to make the cutest villain in the Mario Bros universe, here is the pattern to make his beautiful spiked shell.

This downloadable pattern will allow you to make a shell the size of a good backpack, mounted on shoulder straps.

If you're planning on making a Bowser or Bowsette costume, that works too. I simply suggest that you make the spikes a little longer.

The pattern is offered in one size. The finished shell is approximately 35cm x 43cm. It is possible to make the shell larger or smaller, by changing the print percentage.

You just have to make the straps of the size necessary for the shell to hold well.

Most patterns come in sizes X-Small to 2X Large. Some patterns are also available in sizes up to 5X Large. The available sizes are mentioned on the product listing.

I was able to make a Bowsette and Yoshi shell from this out of foam and one from fabric. Thank you!

This is a good-quality pattern. The pattern is more kid-sized than I would consider adult but I was trying to make it for my husband that is 6'. Customer Service was great and Julie helped me figure out how to enlarge it when I messaged her and was really kind. It made a great base for my husband's Master Roshi cosplay and I highly recommend it for anyone doing bowser or needs a turtle shell in general. Thanks so much!
