Sewing pattern for a pirate hat

One pattern to make (at least) 4 styles of pirate hats! A must for all kinds of cosplays and role-playing costumes.

Whether you're creating a costume of the famous pirate Jack Sparrow or a musketeer outfit, this pattern will serve you for way more than one project.

With the same wide-brim hat base, it only takes a few steps to create different styles.

• Tricorne: the most iconic of pirate hats, the famous tricorne is worn by the most famous privateers.
• Bicorne: a hat mostly worn by the navy, the bicorne will give a military look to your outfit.
• Napoleon: named after the man who made the style popular, the Napoleon hat is also a great classic of the pirate genre.
• Musketeer: for a slightly more romantic look, the musketeer hat goes with all kinds of styles.

On top of the basic version and the 4 styles, you can play with fabrics and easily decorate your hat with feathers, a cockade, ribbons or a brooch, to vary the styles and match your pirate costume.
